Session 1: A bold new era – the strength in diversity

For all of us, today’s challenges have amplified the need for diversity and agility. The very nature of the workplace is changing, as are the expectations of tenants, talent and communities. Leeds has a great track record of drawing trophy occupiers – and as the leading regional city for inward investment too – but in the face of the huge challenges that 2020 has posed, what measures need to put in place for that success to be maintained?

How will Leeds ensure it creates spaces and places for everyone?
Does the city need to do more to respond to the needs of its diverse community and what would be the positive impact of doing so?
What can the city do to further broaden its offering to attract and retain talent?
What will devolution – and a mayor – mean for the city?
Leeds attracted more office investment that any other major UK city outside of London but with occupiers re-evaluating their office footprint, can it be maintained? And is there enough Grade A office space in the pipeline?
