Session 2: Next Generation Communities

In these last few weeks the importance of communities can not be underestimated. With challenging times ahead how will Birmingham remain relevant to meet the future needs of the next generations? What will future communities look like? How do we ensure nature and sustainability drive us in creating future cities?

Topics to be discussed include:

What responsibility does the real estate industry have to ensure its places and spaces engender a sense of community – and which developments in Birmingham can we highlight that show an innovative and successful approach to this challenge?
How can we as an industry ensure that we are bringing more diverse voices, reflective of newer generations, to bear on our work and projects?
With sustainability now a business imperative, how are property companies working to ensure their offering becomes part of the solution, not problem - and how do we maintain momentum here even as a crisis such as the coronavirus holds our attention?
